Good day!

Please accept this letter as my formal notice of resignation from Seven-Seven Convenience Store effective today. As you know that I leaving my work without formal notice to you due to the hospitalization of my wife last month ago that caused me to have number of absences.

I am very sorry for my absences, I know that you expected me to be there but I was simply unable to make it. Again, it was important that I assist my wife in hospital physically and financially.

Hope you won’t see this as reflection of who I am as a whole. Ordinarily, when I make a promise and I am able to keep it. I am both sorry and embarrassed that I was not able to be true to my word that I promise you before in the time of my interview.

Generally, I have enjoyed my employment here and appreciate all I have learned from your company and the people which I work. Thank you very much for the opportunity to work here. I wish you and the company much success…
